Multi-Sport Huddle

 A group Bible study where student-athletes from multiple sports teams within UT's campus, come together to fellowship, hear God's Word, and grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Discipleship

FCA is a ministry that is heavily focused on discipleship! This is our call as followers of Jesus, to share the Good News of Christ to those around us, and to empower those you disciple to disciple others around them!

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."

As a proud University of Texas alum, I have the privilege of building a team around a faith-based mission. Our goal is to create a thriving environment where coaches and athletes feel supported and equipped to live out their faith both on and off the field. We want them to not just hear about faith but experience it through authentic relationships and discipleship.

I have been a Christian most of my life, but when I encountered the living God for the first time in my 30s, my life changed forever. Knowing about God is different than knowing God, and I am passionate about helping make Him known to others.

I’ve had the privilege of serving with FCA as an area representative at Sam Houston State University for two years, where I also played on the women’s golf team and served as a graduate assistant coach. During college, FCA played a huge role in my faith journey, and through the discipleship of an incredible FCA staff member, Carrie Burnett, my relationship with Jesus grew tremendously and changed my life. God gave me a burden and passion to reach my teammates and coaches, to make disciples who make disciples, while providing others with the same opportunities I had to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

God used five years as Oregon’s starting kicker and team captain to prepare me to understand the pressure of the spotlight. I have felt the weight of performing with the whole world watching, and the entire trajectory of my life changed when someone pointed me to Jesus in that moment. While I may never have a platform like that again, God is calling me to walk alongside the coaches and athletes at UT who do. My goal is to help them use the powerful platform of sport to reach the world with the transforming power of Jesus Christ, and to build an identity in Him that stands firm no matter what happens on the field.
